B.Ed in Primary Education

Course Structure

The B.Ed. Primary Education program provides a comprehensive curriculum that balances core education courses, subject specialization, and practical teaching experience. Students explore key areas including:

Entry Requirements

To gain admission into the B.Ed. Primary Education program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Academic Qualification: A senior secondary school certificate (SSCE) or equivalent with at least five credits including English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects.

  • JAMB Requirement: A minimum score as specified in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with English Language and Mathematics being compulsory subjects.

  • Post-UTME Screening: Shortlisted candidates are required to pass the university’s post-UTME assessment.
